Born and raised in Carman, MB.
I started working in the ag industry back in 1998 with Paterson Grain as an assistant at the elevator in Sperling, MB.
I like that I work directly for grain producers, helping them become even more successful than they already are. Our only focus is to help the producer.
I remember working with a client who was trying to market his #3/4 durum in the winter of 2014/15. The best bid we could find locally was $7/bu, but a 60 mile freight haul to Montana netted more than $13/bu. For 30,000 bushels that meant a $150,000 gain!
I worked with Cargill AgHorizons and JRI/Pioneer.
If I wasn’t a grain marketing advisor I would pursue a career in real estate or farm management.
Outside of work, I enjoy family camping and day trips to the mountains or working on our acreage.
I used to live in the Star Trek capital of the world – Vulcan, AB.
