Growing up in Avonlea I started work in agriculture early on, helping on the family farm and working as an elevator agent.
What gets me fired up about being a Grain Marketing Advisor is helping producers profit and seeing their operations thrive and grow.
My most memorable experience with Farmlink was in 2015. Understanding the quality spreads and production risks that come with durum contracting allowed clients to capitalize on $1/bu more than the highest price that was being offered at the time and $2/bu plus more than where the market was at by the time combines were in the field.
I’ve had a diverse and interesting career experience, including a year working in Australia’s custom combining and cotton industries. Most recently before joining FarmLink I worked with Blue Hills Processors.
If I wasn’t working as a grain marketing advisor, I’d be a farmer.
Outside of work, golf and hockey, and I volunteer with the local Lions Club and the fire department.
I’ve travelled to more than 20 countries and would like to visit 20 more.
