I grew up on a farm. My first unofficial job was handing tools to my grandfather as we fixed machinery, and then eventually working my way up to managing my own acres. My first off farm grain marketing job was brokering cash grains.

Having clients deliver their 2013 crops against contracts made prior to the large crop in Western Canada that year. I was thankful that our clients were able to move a large portion of their crop because we had preplanned their grain sales.
I’ve had a number of jobs in the industry, but before FarmLink, I worked as a grain buyer at an inland terminal.
If I wasn’t a grain marketing advisor I would still be involved in the grain industry, either farming full-time or working in a brokerage role.
