I grew up in Lemberg, Saskatchewan.
I was really involved in our family’s seed farm while growing up, but my first off farm job in the industry was 14 years ago as a facility assistant.
The opportunity to work alongside farmers each day is what gets me fired up in my job, working to make my clients’ bottom line larger at the end of each year.
My most memorable grain marketing experience was moving durum down to the U.S. after the wheat board monopoly ended. That year we were able to get $3/bu more than here in Canada.
Before coming to FarmLink I worked as a grain buyer at three different grain companies.
If I wasn’t a grain marketing advisor, I’d love to work for a farmer.
For fun, I go quading and play sports.
Something most people don’t know about me is that, for three years, I travelled to six different countries doing missions work.
