Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Duhamel, Alberta on a dairy/mixed farming operation.
What was your first job in the AG industry?
I have been working in the ag industry since 1981, when I worked for Cargill Nutrena in Edmonton.
What gets you fired up about working at FarmLink?
What gets me the most fired up is the friendly, family-oriented environment and the team of knowledgeable staff.
What was your most memorable grain marketing experience?
One experience that stands out was buying canola when there was frost on August 6 and snow at the beginning of October, and finding end users for the green and spring-thrashed canola.
Where did you work before FarmLink?
Before FarmLink, I worked for Bunge, Newco Grain, Andrukow Group Solutions, Cooperators Insurance, Agricore and Alberta Wheat Pool – to name a few.
If I wasn’t working with FarmLink I would be a ______.
If I wasn’t working in grain marketing, I would likely be an insurance advisor in a farm division.
What do you do for fun?
In my spare time I like to golf, bake and cook for her grandsons and vacation in Arizona.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
When I retire – or win the lottery – I would love to volunteer in a palliative care ward.
