I am from a three-generation grain farm in Saskatchewan. My Grandfather came from Brittany, France and homesteaded near Swift Current. I lived my teenage years in Vernon, B.C. I was lucky to live all summer long at the lake and all winter on the ski hill. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts from the University in Victoria, B.C.
There is nothing I love more than helping farmers and their families! My entire focus working with FarmLink is making sure farmers are profitable. I thrive on advocating for the farmers, and I am so thankful that I am in a role where the farmers' best inte rests are my top priority.
My most memorable moments happen when farmers let me know that they have peace of mind knowing that they have a team at FarmLink that support and inform their business decisions, especially in times of uncertainty and volatility in the market.
I have been fortunate to work in the Canadian elevator system, and I worked with farmers in Alberta, Saskatchewan and now Manitoba. In the past I purchased grain and assisted farmers with their crop input needs.
Farming! There is no greater career in the world than farming. Farmers feed, fuel and clothe the world. I would be so proud to be a farmer.
I love to run–training and running marathons. The farthest I have ran so far is twelve miles. I also enjoy photography and travelling whenever I can. I would like to go to Brazil and Australia to see the farms of friends I have from social media.
I am almost finished writing a non-fiction book called “Hopeful Farms” about a farm family, based in Saskatchewan. The storyline is inspired by farmers I have worked with and constructed on information from my amazing friends on #AgTwitter.
