My very first job in the agriculture industry was with Cargill in my hometown of Canora back when I was in grade 10. I continued working there part time until after graduation.
I love the FarmLink culture and its ability to be responsive to farmers’ needs. We don’t have a big corporate attitude; we are flexible and able to tailor to what our clients are looking for.
Honestly, it has to be back in 2008 when the markets crashed!
Before FarmLink I worked with Terminal 22 in Balcarres, Saskatchewan as marketing and logistics coordinator.
If I wasn’t a grain marketing advisor I would be a landscape designer.
I love doing landscape work in the yard! I am always changing things up, but it is a great stress reliever.
How much I worries about my clients’ farms. I take a lot of pride in what I do, and treat each farm like my own. I get the day-to-day realities of farm life. My door doesn’t close at 5 p.m. It is always open.
